LexisNexis opens new data center in United Kingdom

Top-tier data facility to serve as information systems hub for clients with offices in U.K. and other parts of Western Europe.

LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading provider of content and technology solutions, has announced the opening of a new, state-of-the-art data center in the U.K. that will provide comprehensive hosting services for law firms, litigation service bureaus and in-house legal departments.

The new LexisNexis data center is located in Redhill, outside of London, and is convenient to nearby Gatwick Airport. The raised-floor facility has obtained all industry certifications for utility power, generator backup, cooling, communications, fire protection and multiple layers of security.

“This top of the line, high-availability data center has abundant capacity to serve the information systems hosting needs of our clients in the U.K. and other parts of Western Europe,” said Terry Williams, vice president of Lexis® Managed Technology Solutions. “It gives us more robust infrastructure so we can continue to protect organizations against business interruption, provide maximum levels of security and reduce their risk exposure by providing them with the only personalized global legal hosting solution.”

To support these services, Lexis Managed Technology Solutions operates several top-tier data centers in Ohio, Illinois and Arizona, as well as an Asia facility in Hong Kong. These data centers serve as either the primary or secondary hosting sites for litigation data and information systems including large enterprise software applications.
